Why localise/translate Abiword?
Because with the help of Kevin Atkinson [ creator of aspell ] the ThamiZha! team was able to create an aspell based tamil spell checker. Since abiword has the ability to manipulate many spell checkers ( ispell, myspell, aspell ) at the same time, using a software called Enchant; it was easy to include the tamil spell checker. Since only abiword has the ability to include a tamil spell checker it is important that we translate it first!
